Eye-fi pro x2 card: when will it arrive in the Netherlands?

The Eye-Fi Pro X2 card is a nice upgrade compared to the original Eye-fi pro card: it has more storage, it is faster (class 6) and it has endless memory mode. Wow!

The original product already is a nice innovation, but the product just seems to get better and better. I am very anxious to try one of these cards and use it in combination with an ad hoc Wifi network. Unfortunately my camera only uses CompactFlash cards. I am thinking about upgrading my camery body and it seems that the EOS550d has special Eye-Fi compatibility features (apparently it is a so called connected camera). Interesting….

Just a thought: wouldn’t it be great if somehow this could be used together with an iPad? It would be a perfect setup.

iPad Camera Connection Kit – Will It Work On Other iDevices?

The Apple site lists some very nice iPad accessories. I think the keyboard dock and the multi functional case are beautiful. But what about the iPad Camera Connection Kit? I was wondering whether this will work on an iPod or iPhone as well. It would be very nice if it is possible to use your iDevice as an extra photo backup during holidays.

In the past they had a camera connector which was some sort of USB port to attach your camera to your iPod. This was very slow and thus a huge battery drain. Perhaps with this new accessory Apple might have sorted it out. We will probably just have to wait and see.

If it will work I just hope they will create a CompactFlash version as well ;-)
